Lou Ellen Freeman

Lou Ellen Freeman Lou Ellen Freeman, 83, of Cleveland died Wednesday, June 4, 2014, in a local health care center. Mrs. Freeman was retired from the Hamilton County School System after 18 years at Elbert Long, Ooltewah and Mountain Oaks Elementary Schools. She was a member of Cedar Valley Cathedral of Praise Church and held membership with the East Brainerd Home Demonstration Club. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2008, Howard Thomas Freeman. Survivors are her daughter, Janet (Frank) Canada, Cleveland; sons, Mark (Angie) Freeman, Dalton, Ga., and Keith (Sherrie) Freeman, Dacula, Ga.; sister, Margaret Bryant, Dalton, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Elaine Stimmel, Tammye Riden, Michelle Davis, Stacy Shankles, Christina Oliver, Starr Jarvis and Mathew Freeman; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Saturday at 11 AM in the chapel with Rev. Jeff Vess officiating. Burial will be Monday at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
