Gloria Maye

Gloria Jean Maye, 63, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, June 5, 2014, in the Hospice Care Center. She was a member of Zerubbabel Holy Temple Apostolic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, J.T. and Ethel Johnson; husband, James Maye, Sr.; brothers, Cary Threat, Clayborn Threat and Gary Johnson; and sister, Glady Rice. Survivors include her sons, James Maye Jr., Kenneth (Valerie) Wilkins and Jason Maye; daughter, Kyna (Greg) Sales, all of Chattanooga; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Verdis (Renee) Johnson; sister, Norma Passmore both of Chattanooga; devoted nieces, Tara Brantley, Dometria Boozer, Lisa White, Kisha Passmore, Tiffoni Gary and Tia Thomas; several cousins; other relatives; special friends, Sylvia Morris, Mother Shirley Wilson, Barbara Jo, Joann Parks, Hyram Thomas, and many other friends. Visitation is today from 6-7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at noon Wednesday in the chapel with Elder Tommy Williams, Sr. as the eulogist. Burial: Chattanooga National Cemetery.
