Juanita Hale

Juanita McDade Hale, 95, of Ooltewah, passed away Sunday, June 8, 2014, at her home surrounded by her loving family. A loving mother and grandmother, she was a native of East Chattanooga and a graduate of the 1937 class of City High School. She was a longtime member of Ooltewah Baptist Church where she was active in the Maggie Watts Sunday School Class and the WMU. She was the wife of the late Ernest M. Hale and was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ted W. Smith Sr. Survivors include three children, Bonnie Riggs and husband, Jesse, Marcia Smith, Martin J. Hale and wife, Joanie, all of Ooltewah; seven grandchildren, Alan McMichen, Dale McMichen, Teddy Smith, Jr. and wife, Cristy, Martin Smith and wife, April, Joshua Hale, Stephanie C. Clingan and husband, Donnie, Ernest Nathanial Hale and wife, Jessica; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Valley View Chapel with the Rev. Larry Williams officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Maggie Watts Class and the Ernest Hale Bible Class. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Avalon Hospice, Hallidee, Darlene, Matt, Q and Janet.
