Adelle Phillips

AdellePhillips CHICKAMAUGA Adelle Holcomb Phillips, 81, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014. She was born in Henegar, Ala., on April 7, 1933 to the late Newt and Nellie McDonald Holcomb. She was a member of New Home Baptist Church and she enjoyed word puzzles, game shows and gardening. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Otho Geane Phillips Sr.; and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Barbara Gail and Garland White, of Chickamauga, Teresa Ann Zuniga, of Tunnel Hill; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Frank Richard and Nadine Countryman, of Dalton, Otho Geane Phillips Jr., of Soddy-Daisy; three sisters, Sarah Thompson, of Tunnel Hill, Jane Thomason, of LaFayette and Sue Sexton, of Chattanooga; nine grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from noon-9 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and prior to the funeral service Sunday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
