Helen Green

Helen Louise Green, 88, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 10, 2014. She had lived most of her life in Toledo, Ohio before retiring and moving to North Georgia. She was also a member of Spring Creek Church of God in East Ridge and loved working with many types of crafts. She was a very creative person who enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be sadly missed by all that knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Emmett Green; two sons-in-law, Jerry Davis and Charles Selby; five brothers and four sisters. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, John (Corinne) Green, of Rossville, Carl and (Janice) Green, of Toledo, Ohio and Doug (Lauri) Green, of Ossipee, N.H.; daughter, Cheryl Selby, of Rossville; brother, Jay Amos, of Vista, Calif.; sister, JoAnn Ferris, of Muskegon, Mich.; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Memorial services will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 16, 2014, at Spring Creek Church of God, 1005 Spring Creek Road, East Ridge, TN 37412, with Pastor Bennie Mills officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Monday at the church. Burial will be private and there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
