Mike Fitz-Gerald Jr.

Michael Fitz-Gerald Jr., 61, died suddenly on Friday, Feb. 28, 2014. A graduate of Coffee County High School in Manchester, Tenn., he attended Cleveland State College, the University of Tennessee at Knoxville and served for a short time in the Merchant Marines at Marcus Hook, Pa. He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Fitz-Gerald Sr. He is survived by his mother, Charlsie Fitz-Gerald, of South Pittsburg; sister, Doris (Stan) Baron of Franklin, Tenn.; nephews, John "JB" (Sheena) Baron IV, of Yakota, Japan and Dane Baron, of Franklin, Tenn.; aunts, Fay Ziegler, of Lookout Mountain, Tenn., Mary Groover, of Chattanooga and Bobbie F. Henry, of Chattanooga; uncles, Troy Gullette, of Chattanooga and Melvin Hargis, of Rising Fawn, Ga.; and several cousins. Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 1 p.m. CST on Tuesday, March 4, 2014. Interment will follow at Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, Tenn.
