Earl Love

Earl Alfred Love, 71, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2014 in a local hospital. He was a 1960 graduate of Howard High School. He retired from U.S. Pipe & Foundry after 40 years of employment. He was a devoted and lifetime member of Mt. Paran Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a trustee. He served on the Southside Reunion Committee. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie G. and Freddie Mae Love; mother-in-law, Emma Lue Jackson; nieces, Cheryl Ramsey and Sonya Jones. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 48 years, Emma Love; son, Edgar Love; granddaughter, Shanna Love; brothers, Willie Fred Love, Charles (Colline) Love, and Robert Love; sisters, Betty Ramsey, Dorothy (James) Smith, Earlene Hunter, and Gloria Thirkkill; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives and friends. Visitation will be today from 6-7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Friday at noon at Mt. Paran Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Alfred Johnson as the eulogist. Burial: Forest Hills Cemetery.
