Beatrice Chandler

Beatrice E. Chandler, 93, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2014 in a local hospital. She was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area where she had been a member of the Peavine Baptist Church since 1977 and a member of the Fellowship Sunday School Class. Her passions in life were God, family, fishing, reading, knitting and working in her vegetable garden. She was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Chandler Sr. Survivors include her sons, William L. Chandler Jr. (Marie) of Hixson, Tenn., Gregory C. Chandler (Pam) , of Jackson, Ga., and Jeff L. Chandler (Darlene), of Ringgold, Ga.; brother, Gene Dennis, of Woodstock, GA; 10 grandchildren, Mark Chandler, of Chattanooga, Sean Chandler, of Fredericksburg, Va., Kristy McCamish, of Lafayette, Ga., Scott Chandler, of Hixson, Phillip Chandler, of Hixson, Dustin Chandler, of Atlanta, Ga., Stephanie Long, of Soddy Daisy, Tenn., Holly Chandler, of Port Roll, SC, Jessica Chandler, of Ringgold, and Candice Chandler , of Ringgold; 10 great -grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the South Crest Chapel with the Rev. Gary Ledford officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
