Raymond Davis

James "Raymond" Davis, 62, passed away Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Hospice of Chattanooga. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Poelman and son-in-law, Justin Boyd. Survivors include his high school sweetheart and wife of 43 years, Dianne Davis, Dunlap; father, Dean (Linda) Poelman, of Georgia; daughters, Jennifer Boyd and Brandy (Greg) Allison, both of Murfreesboro; sons, Eric (Kristin) Davis, of Columbia, and Steven (Monica) Davis, of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Andrew and Rebekah Boyd, Jacob (Tiffany) Beavers, Austin Beavers, Jessica Allison, Madison Davis, Aaron and Isaac Davis; brothers, Dean (Bridgett) Poelman Jr. and John Davis, both of Mississippi. Raymond graduated from high school at Whitehaven, in Memphis. He received his BS from Mid America Baptist Theological Seminary and completed his Dr. of Philosophy from Luthur Rice. Raymond was the former pastor of Ewtonville Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. CST Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Ewtonville Baptist Church.
