Sarah Daniels

Sarah Inis Bottoms Daniels, 94, went home to be with Jesus Sunday, March 9, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Meigs County, Tenn. on Dec. 25, 1919, a daughter of the late Charlie and Annie Lemons Bottoms. She was a member of Cloud Springs Baptist Church and a well known area beautician for more than 50 years. Mrs. Daniels was preceded in death by her loving husband, John Daniels; and a brother, Edgar Bottoms; two sisters, Ruby Reed and Willie Walker; daughter-in-law, Regina Daniels and two sons-in law, Jerry Mayfield and Cecil Phillips. Survivors are daughters, Carolyn Phillips, of Lookout Mountain, Ga. and Margie Mayfield, of Fort Oglethorpe; son, Rev. Johnny Daniels, of Rossville; six grandchildren, Kay (Roger) Honea, Rev Jeff (Kim) Daniels, Tony (Stephanie) Ellis, Tom (Leighann) Ellis, Leslie (Tommy) Koger and Cindy (Eric Stiles; 11 great-grandchildren, Heather (Jamie) Massengale, Bill and Makayla Bowman, Scott and Nicole Daniels, Casey Honea, Brandon, Ally, Anna, Brianna Ellis and Max Stiles; and one great-great-grandson, Phoenix Massengale; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Johnny Daniels, Rev. Bill Gardner and Rev. Clifton Brown officiating.
