Benny Tucker

James Benny Tucker, 73, passed away Wednesday March 19, 2014. A lifelong resident of the North Georgia area, he was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, a self-employed painter for over 40 years and was of the Methodist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, James "J.E." and Lula Mae Pack Tucker; twin brother, Samuel B. Tucker; and two sisters, Dorothy Thomasson and Sue Broadnax. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Naomi Barton Tucker, of Tunnel Hill.; three sisters, Betty Thomasson, of Ringgold, Carolyn Trundle, of Ringgold, and Pat Morris of Chattanooga; two brothers, Dewey Tucker, of Chattanooga, and Leland Tucker, of LaFayette, Ga.; sisters-in-law, Dottie Tucker, of Albany, Ga. and Dot (Gene) Arnold, of Ringgold; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Thurman Headrick officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3-9 p.m. today and Saturday until funeral time at the funeral home. An online register book may be signed at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.
