Evelyn Privett

Evelyn Marie Frizzell Privett, 80, of Soddy-Daisy, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday Morning, March 20, 2014, while holding her husband's hand at their home. She was a member of the Daisy Church of God and an avid Bible reader. She married Hayden in 1954 and together they owned Privett's Furniture. The worked beside each other for over 37 years before they retired. She was an active member of the community and volunteered her time to various clubs and organizations. She also loved designing quilts for family and friends. She was one of eight children born to Jesse and Viola Mannon Frizzell. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Rocky Privett; brothers, Perk, Dick, John, Cot and Jim Frizzell; and a sister, Teat Harvey. Survivors include her husband, Hayden Privett; daughter, Janet (John) Woodall; five grandchildren, Amanda (Matt) Moore, Kolt (Erin) Privett, Holly (Jamie) Taylor, Samantha (Charles) Alsobrook, John Garrett (Paige Lane) Woodall; and six great-grandchildren, Madalynn and Alex Moore, Gus and Gabby Alsobrook, Kolston Privett and Eli Taylor; one sister, Sue Orr and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today, March 21, 2014, at the funeral home. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Moore officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her son in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
