Peggy Lawson

Peggy Lawson RINGGOLD Peggy Lawson, 89, died on Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at NHC of Rossville. Peggy was born in Chattanooga; she was the daughter of the late William and Letha Green Haggard. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence "Red" Lawson, in 1984; and by her brother and sisters. Peggy was a longtime member of North Chattanooga Church of God. She retired from Erlanger after 25 years of service. Peggy loved to work crossword puzzles, grow flowers, and enjoyed crochet work. She loved her family and was proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sons, Phil (Mary Jane) Lawson, Jim Lawson, and Joey (Kathy) Lawson; her daughter, Pam Lawson; grandchildren, Chris, Matt, Carol, Melissa, Josh, and Jeremy; great-grandchildren, Jeb, Caroline, Kaenix, Mattea, and Julia. The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2014, in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway. The burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South. The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. and 6 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
