Thomas McElhaney

Thomas Franklin McElhaney, 80, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2014. He was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area and was previously employed with CNC Oxygen. He was a Navy Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict and enjoyed talking and spending time with family and friends. He loved going to Krystal and always enjoyed making others laugh. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one son, Thomas "Chuck" McElhaney Jr. Survivors include his daughter, Delta Bentley, of East Ridge; brother, Charles McElhaney; and sister, Anna Louise Bell, both of Chickamauga, Ga.; two grandchildren, Kara Oxford and Elizabeth Keith; great-granddaughter, Bella Kate Oxford and numerous extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014, in the Fort Oglethorpe Chapel with Brother Dennis Chambers officiating. Burial will follow in Chickamauga City Cemetery.
