Willie Lawrence

Willie F. Lawrence, 73, of Chattanooga, passed away Sunday, March 16, 2014, in a local hospital. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served in the Korean War. He was formerly employed by Westinghouse Savannah River Company. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Ball Lawrence; father, Enos Lawrence; sisters, Sarah Odessa Lawrence, Jacqueline Lawrence Sandridge and Betty L. Stallion. Survivors include ex-wife, Nedra Lawrence; five sons, Kevin (Vanessa) Lawrence, of Silver Spring, Md., Corey Lawrence, of Atlanta, Kerry (Tammye) Lawrence, of Fayetteville, Ga., Todd (Jacqueline) Lawrence, of North Augusta, S.C., and Quinton (LaKisha) Lawrence, of Augusta, Ga.; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Desi A. Lawrence and Johnny Lawrence, both of Chattanooga; sisters, Nancy L. Hicks, of Chattanooga and Virginia L. Thomas, of Nashville; uncle, Rev. Frank Ball; aunt, Daisy Henson, both of Chattanooga; several nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives and friends. Funeral: at 11:30 a.m. today in the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Cedric Henson as the eulogist. Burial: Chattanooga National Cemetery.
