Gloria Jones

Gloria Weaver Jones, 70, passed on Sunday, March 16, 2014, in Knoxville. She was born in Chattanooga, on Aug. 5, 1943 to the late Fletcher and Hattie Weaver. Gloria graduated from Howard High School in 1961. Gloria served in the army as a WAC. She was employed by the TN Department of Safety until she retired as district supervisor. Gloria was a member of Community Evangelistic Presbyterian Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Knoxville. Gloria is survived by children, Jacqueline Davis and Demetrius Jones; daughter-in-law, Desiree Jones; grandchildren, Jasmine Davis and Morgan Jones; nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, 2014, in the chapel with Pastor Reginald Strong officiating. Interment in National Cemetery on Monday, March 24, 2014.
