Betty Curtis

Betty Jean Curtis, 72, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, March 22, 2014. She was born and raised in Pikeville, Tenn. and had lived the past fifty years in Chattanooga where she raised and cheered for her children and grandchildren in every event imaginable. She was a Christ follower and a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Louise McReynolds Scarborough and James Scarborough; and one daughter, Nancy Noblit. Survivors include her daughter, Susan Reynolds (Jim), of Chattanooga; her son, Ed Curtis (Jennifer), of Naperville, Ill.; her pride and joy grandchildren, Neve Trumpeter (Kevin), Jack Noblit (Amber), Taylor and Chase Morgan, Jay, Alex, Jack, and Sam Reynolds, Bailey, Hannah, and Chapman Curtis; her brother, Jim Scarborough, of Chattanooga; and many other family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, March 27, at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. EST, Friday, March 28, in Pikeville, TN at Pikeville Cemetery with Albert Roberts officiating. Thanks to the many doctors, nurses, care givers, and friends that have cared for Betty over the last three years during her battle with cancer.
