Dorothy Jean Thomas, 86, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Dorothy retired from Cumberland Corporation. she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Thomas Jr.; parents, Hugh and Edith Easterly; sister, Martha Dempsey; brother, Donald Easterly. Those left to cherish her memories are her children, Butch (Joann) Cantrell, of Chattanooga, Mickey Cantrell, John Cantrell, both of Whitwell; sisters, Betty Dorsett, of Signal Mountain, Joann Layne, of Chattanooga; brothers, Leon Easterly, of Whitwell, James "Bobo" Easterly, of South Pittsburg, B.R. Easterly, of Dunlap, Richard Easterly, of Sequatchie; grandchildren, Michael Goforth, Bobby Cantrell, Chad Cantrell; great-grandchildren, Chase, Madison, Chellan and Delainey Cantrell. Family will receive friends 3-8 p.m. today, March 26, 2014. Funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday, March 27, 2014, in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. John Helenthal officiating.
