James Evans

James Earl Evans, 91, died Wednesday, March 26, 2014. He served in the United State Army during WWII. Earl was preceded in death by parents Herbert and Minnie Evans; sister Eloise Singleton; brothers Gerald D. and Harold Evans. Survivors include wife of 65 years Edna Evans; two sons Ron (Debra) Evans and Gary (Sandra) Evans, both of Ohio; grandchildren, Mindy (Matt) Pohlabel; Amber (Aaron) Shaffer; Glen (Karen) Chambers; Matthew (Elizabeth) Evans; Michelle Evans (Brent Wiles); nine great-grandchildren; sisters Evelyn (Bill) McCulley, Soddy-Daisy; Juanita Ogburn, Fla..; two brothers Donald (Esther) Evans, Fla.; Milburn (Brenda) Evans, Ohio; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Service will be at 1 p.m. CDTSaturday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Akins Cemetery in Cumberland County. Online condolences can be made at www.reedfamilyfh.com.
