Samuel Logan Jr.

Samuel Frank Logan Jr., 72, passed to his rest awaiting the return of our Lord and Savior. He was born on Aug. 4, 1941 in Chattanooga, to the late Samuel Frank Logan Sr. and Anne Mae Logan. Samuel Jr. was one of 11 children of which four preceded him in death. Samuel was married to Virginia Margaret Peeples, the two were married for over 48 years. He was a member of the Riverside SDA Church in Riverside, Calif. Samuel attend Orchard Knob Elementary and Junior High Schools and was a 1959 graduate of Howard High School. He also attended Clark College (Atlanta) and Oakwood College in Huntsville, Ala., (now Oakwood University). Samuel retired from the United States Air Force after serving 22 years as a TSGT Security Police. He also retired from Inland Empire Job Corps, San Bernardino, Calif., where he served for over 20 years. He leaves behind his wife, Virginia M. Logan; his children, Lonnie, Venita, Aundrette, Keisha and April, all of Sand Bernardino, Calif., and Nathaniel, of Las Vegas, Nev.; He leaves behind five grandchildren, Arah, Zoe Isreal, Lonnie Jr. and Cassandra; brothers, Gatha (Mildred) Logan, Chattanooga, and Charles Logan, Cleveland, Tenn.; sisters, Sammie Frances Glover, Cleveland, Ohio; Evelyn Y. Thomas, San Bernardino, Calif.; Libby E. Dandy and Aundrette Logan of Chattanooga; aunts, L. Jean Carroll, Bertha K. Williams and Dorothy Ivery, Atlanta; In-laws, nephews, nieces other relatives and so many friends; and beloved lifelong friends, Alex Kendricks and Pauletta Webb-Hands. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18.
