William Wells

William "Bill" Wells, 67, passed away Friday, May 2, 2014 at his residence. He was a lifelong resident of Ringgold where he worked for the Georgia Department of Transportation. He served in the United States Navy during Vietnam. He was an active member of Clearview Baptist Church in Ringgold where he enjoyed singing and driving the church van. His passions in life were God, family, watching western movies, bird watching, bowling and enjoying home cooked meals. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Joyce Deakins Wells; and brothers, Dean Wells and James Edward "Bud" Wells. Survivors include his daughters, Rhonda Scott, of Ringgold and Kristi Williams, of Ringgold; sons, Scott Wells of Ringgold and Allen Wells, of East Ridge; sisters, Arlene Tudor, of Ringgold and Nancy (Allen) Brown, of Ringgold; grandchildren, Haley Scott, of Ringgold, Faith Scott, of Ringgold, and Christopher Wells of Ringgold; aunt, Florence Peters, of Ringgold; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. at Clearview Baptist Church 2183 Dietz Road, Ringgold, GA 30736 with Pastor Herman Kapherr officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 3-5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions may be sent to Clearview Baptist Church.
