Charles Lovinggood

Charles "Charlie" Preston Lovinggood, 90, of Red Bank, went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 3, 2014, at his home. He was a son of the late Jefferson Preston and Roxie Hightower Lovinggood. Charlie was a 60-year member of White Oak Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was a member of the Red Bank Masonic Lodge #717 F&AM. Charlie was a well known automobile salesman in Chattanooga and was a World War II Navy veteran. Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Bea Lovinggood; daughter, Abby (David) Eldridge, of Red Bank; and son, Jeff Lovinggood, of Red Bank; six grandchildren, Emily, Melissa, Sarah, Davis, Preston and Kaitlyn; two great-grandchildren, Micah and Annabella; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Lane Funeral Home with Dr. Tony Wilson and Dr. John Franklin officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
