Carl Games

Carl Eugene Games, 83, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2014, in a local hospital. He was born in Pittsburgh, Ga., to the late Fred C. and Mattie Emma Pryor Games. He had lived most of his life in Walker County in the High Point and Chickamauga communities. He served his country in the United States Marine Corp., during the Korean War. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Crawfish Masonic Lodge F&AM #300. He was a former employee of Dave L. Brown Construction Co., Vulcan Materials and was the assistant supervisor of Walker County Water & Sewage System in Chattanooga Valley. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Louise Reese, Martha Keith, Ruth Kilgore, Mary Ellen Pierce, Charles Games, Granville Games; and son-in-law, Mark Sparks. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Peggy Joyce Hollingsworth Games; their daughters and son-in-law, Carla Sparks, Cheryl and Tony Gravitt; two grandsons, Denver and Montana Sparks, all of Chickamauga, Ga.; sister, Sue (Russell) Jones, of Rossville; brother, Roy (Katherine) Games, of Ringgold, Ga. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at graveside at Chickamauga Cemetery with the Rev. James W. Sprayberry officiating. Online register book at www.wilsonfuneralhome.com.
