Emma Corbin

Emma Lou Hughley Corbin, 75, went home to Glory on Thursday, May 8, 2014 at her residence. She was employed for many years at Central Soya and Seaboard Farms. She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Hughley and mother, Amanda Hughley; sisters, Willie Nell Groce, Gloria Hughley, Shirley Hill, Sarah Bledsoe. Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Ann Hughley; two grandsons, Michael Hughley and Kenyatti (Kimberly) Hughley; great-grandchildren, Elijah K. Hughley and Gabrielle E. Hughley; one sister, Rebecca A Craig; two brothers, Matthew Hughley and Donald Hughley; sister-in-law, Sharon Hughley; nieces, Luenell Barron, Sheleta Smith, Amber Harris; nephews, Martel Hughley, Avery Barron, Matthew Hughley, Johnny Hughley, Cedric Hughley, Eric Hughley and a host of cousins; best friends, Georgia Petty, Phyllis Smith, Carolyn Marks, Betty Herring; also six great-nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Alexian Brothers and PACE Program for all of your love and care. God Bless you all. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014, at Solid Anchor Baptist Church, located at 2901 Taylor St. with Pastor Johnny Horn officiating.
