Charles Linder

Charles Beckham Linder, 84, of Snellville, GA, went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 15, 2014 at East Side Medical Center in Snellville, GA. He was born in Louisville, KY on April 26, 1930. A retired manager of Kroger in Dalton, Chattanooga, and Atlanta. He was a loving husband, son, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend to many. He was preceded in death by father, Rev. Omar Linder and his mother, Thelma Jackson; brothers; Omar Jr Linder, Joe Linder, Herb Linder, and Rev. Guy Linder. Surviving siblings are David W (Becky) Linder of Owensboro, KY, Bartley Joseph (Barbara) Linder of Kerrville, TX, and Mary Catherine Jones of Bessemer, AL. He is survived by his loving wife Joyce Marie Linder of Snellville, GA, his children; Deborah (Bill) Jaruczewicz of El Cajon, CA; Rebekah (Chuck) Corey of Ooltewah, TN; Chuck (Terri) Austin of Sebastapol, CA; Joe Linder of Chattanooga, TN; John (Trish) Linder of Tunnel Hill, GA; James (Kristi) Linder of Cohutta, GA; Jolynn (Roger) Ladd of Harrison, TN. Surviving grandchildren; Heather (Dillon) Vanzant; Holly(Larry) Swinea; Ryan Austin; Scott Austin; Tyler and Maggie Linder; Molly and Macy Linder, Chelsea, David, Lexie, and Lanie Douhne; Rob and Briann Ladd. Surviving great-grandchildren Jacob, John, and James Vanzant; Gracie and Landon Swinea. Visitation will be at Chattanooga Funeral Home (8214 E. Brainerd Rd Chattanooga, TN) from 5-9 p.m. on Friday May 23, 2014. Viewing from 12-1 p.m. followed by funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday May 24, 2014 at Chattanooga Funeral Home. Graveside service will proceed directly after funeral service at Lakewood Memory Gardens East on Shallowford Rd for everyone. Officiating the funeral service will be Steve Green of Brooksville, FL.
