Sandra Green

ROSSVILLESandra Green, 65, of Rossville went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at her residence. She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area. Sandra worked for the U.S. Postal Service for over 30 years in the Chattanooga and North Georgia area retiring in 2003 as the Post Master of Chickamauga. She was known as "Nana" to everyone and she loved her family, collecting Precious Moments, and gardening. She was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnie Green. Survivors include her daughter, Kathy Lynn (Don) Painter; grandsons, Ryan Shortt, Rusty Painter, and Justin Painter; great granddaughters, Trinity, Alesya, Shelby, and Brayleigh; sisters, Terry (J.C.) Dalrymple, Dianne (Ronnie) Shrum, Becky (Robert) Dale, and Patty (Herman) Bradley; brothers, Ronnie Fouts, Ricky Fouts, and Eddie Baldwin; one niece, and numerous nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. in the South Crest Chapel with Reverend Jim Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 2-8p.m. and Tuesday from 10a.m. until the funeral hour at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
