Bobby Bell

Bobby Joe Bell, 83, lifelong resident of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2014. He was born on Signal Mountain and was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church for over 15 years. He was the owner/operator of Bonny Oaks Food Market for over 25 years and was a U.S. Air Force veteran having served at McChord Air Force Base in Seattle, Wash. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Jo Bell; and his parents, Elmer and Willie Ruth Erwin Bell. Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Betty Bell of Harrison; sons, Mark of Chattanooga, Ted and Greg, both of Ringgold; daughter, Teresa Elmore, of Harrison; brothers, Kenneth Bell, of Signal Mountain and Nick Bell, of Savannah, Ga.; grandsons, TJ, Todd, Alex, Eric and Ryan; granddaughters, Rilee, Christy and Angela; six great-grandchildren; and one special cousin, Edwina Chadwick, of Canton, Ga. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, 2014, in the Highway 58 chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Dr. David Bragg officiating.
