Eugene Borden

Eugene Borden, 92, of Chattanooga, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2014. A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, he was a Veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp serving in W.W. II. He was also a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church and was retired from Collins & Hobbs. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 47 years, Lillian M. Borden. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Borden; two daughters, Nancy (Andy) Andrews, Chattanooga and Libby Simpson, Knoxville; stepson, Doug Harden, Chattanooga; three grandchildren, Drew (Dianna) Andrews, Whitney Andrews and Katie (Greg) Tanner; sister, Martha Roberts, Knoxville; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Sunset Memory Gardens in Cleveland with Dr. Jay McClusky officiating.
