Myrtle Holloway

Myrtle Mae Adams Holloway, 70, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014, at a local healthcare. She was a life member of Shiloh Baptist Church, employed with the Catoosa County School System, a member of the Adams Gospel Singers. She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Adams Sr.; sister, Mary Jane Adams; and grandmother, Callie Langston. She is survived by husband of 44 years, James O. Holloway Sr.; son, James O. (Lendrail) Holloway II; grandchildren, Angell Michelle and Jadyn Monique Holloway; mother, Myrtle Langston Adams; sisters, Janie Mae Boykin, Marie (Rev. Dennis) Moore, and Gaddie Mae (Rickey) Blanks; brother, Alvin (Katie) Adams Jr.; sister-in-law, Adeline (Henry Jr.) Hollins; brother-in-law, Robert (Brenda) Holloway; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Homegoing service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 25, 2014, at Mount Peria Baptist Church, 341 Sparks Street, Ringgold. Her nephew, Rev. Craig Moore will present the eulogy, with the Rev. Harold K. Lester, the Rev. Jimmy Ingram and other ministers officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 6-7:30 p.m. today. Interment will be in Ringgold Community Cemetery.
