Betty Parker

Mrs. Betty Gilreath Parker, 82, went home to be with The Lord Saturday, May 24, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Josie Sweet Gilreath; Husband, John Thomas Parker Jr.; Sister, Sherry Neal; Brothers, Tommy, Frank, Ravin, Raymond, and Jimmy Gilreath. She was a member of the Naomi Baptist Church. Mrs. Parker is survived by, Daughters and their husbands, Nancy (Robert) Carol, Teresa (Rick) Witt Stroh, both LaFayette; Son, David Parker-Blackburn (Wayne), Jacksonville, Fla. ; sister, Lucille (Ozzy) O'Donald, of Ringgold, Ga.; Brother, Eddy (Mary) Gilreath Kensington, Ga.; and Grandchildren, Cynthia Wright, Samantha Carroll, Ashleigh, and Jared Stroh, all of LaFayette; Several Nieces and Nephews also survive. Funeral from the Naomi Baptist Church Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Garland Hullender, and the Rev. C.F. Strickland officiating. Honoary Pallbearers are the Adult III Sunday School Class of the Naomi Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Old Antioch Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today, May 26, 2014 from 5-9 p.m. Arrangements are by the Wallis - Wilbanks Funeral Home, LaFayette.
