Jeffrey Powell

Jeffrey Stanley Powell, 54, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, May 21, 2014, in a local hospital. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey DeWayne Powell; mother, Annie Ruth Powell; sister, WillieNell Powell; grandparents, Ruth and Rogers Dwight; and uncle, John Powell. Survivors include his wife, Debra Powell, of Chattanooga; son, Thomas Frazier, of Sarasota, Fla.; mother-in-law, Ethel Frazier, of Chattanooga; brother, Stevie Broadnax; sister, Donna Powell, of Chicago, Ill.; uncle, Bernard Harris, of Chattanooga; aunts, Annie Lee Burse, of Dalton, Ga., Sammie Holmes, of Chicago, Flora Truiett, Mary Stovall, both of Chattanooga, and Louise Thompson, of Cleveland, Ohio; a host of other relatives and close friends. Visitation is today from 6-7 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at noon Tuesday in the chapel with Pastor Gerald Penn as the eulogist. Burial: Forest Hills Cemetery.
