Jay Meyners

Jay Thornton Meyners, 44, of Chattanooga, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, Nov. 21, 2014. He was of the Baptist faith and loved Jesus. Jay was an outstanding wrestler for years and always had a gentle, giving spirit that defined him. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him. Jay was predeceased by his father, Charles Meyners; maternal grandmother, Meredith Holder; and niece, Holly Meyners. He is survived by his mother, Linda Johnson; brothers Chuck and Paul Meyners; and a host of nieces and nephews. There will be a celebration of Jays homegoing at Stuart Heights Baptist Church, 3208 Hixson Pike, on Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 6 p.m. Visitation will be one hour prior. Arrangements are by Cremation Center of Chattanooga.
