Velma McDaniels

Velma R. McDaniels, 82, departed this life on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, at a local hospital. She was a member of Greater Tucker Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel "Mack" McDaniel. Survivors include daughters, Joanne McDaniels, Elaine Sammons, Natalie McDaniels and Leslie McDaniels; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2014, at Greater Tucker Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Hathaway officiating. Interment in Chattanooga National Cemetery. The body will lie in state after noon today at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
