Ashley Dworkin

Ashley Rae Dworkin, 33, of Soddy-Daisy, died Wednesday Oct. 22, 2014, at her home. She was born Jan. 7, 1981, in Paducah, Ky., and was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Stephen Dodson; her grandfather, Jesse P. Dodson; and grandparents, J.W. and Vivian Stapp. Ashley was a long time resident of Dayton and lived the last three years in Soddy-Daisy. She was a graduate of Rhea County High School. She was a devoted mother, wife and daughter who took pride in caring for her family and home. She touched countless lives throughout her nursing career at Siskin Hospital of Rehabilitation. Ashley was employed at Siskin for over 10 years leaving behind many cherished coworkers. Ashley had a bright, infectious smile that could light up any room. She had a compassionate and giving heart always putting others before herself. Ashley will be remembered for her loving spirit and charismatic personality. Ashley celebrated life, loved beyond measure and she will be greatly missed by all who loved her. She is survived by her mother, Margaret Stapp Dodson, of Dayton; her husband, Matthew Dworkin; her two sons, Levan Dworkin and Mannix Dworkin, all of Soddy-Daisy; her grandmother, Jean Dodson, of Kingston; aunts and uncles, Dana and Ray Matlock, of Oak Ridge, Danny and Mary Malone, of Collierville, Chester and Mavis Pack, of Knoxville, Marsha Harvey, of Archdale, N.C., and Pam Coley, of Chattanooga; cousins, Mason Matlock, Cyndi Harrington, Melanie Allgyer, Melinda Harvey, Melissa Harvey, Kendra Harvey and Amber Smith; mother and father-in-law, Allen and Darla Dworkin, of Chattanooga; sisters-in-law, Rebecca Gore and Autumn Dworkin, of Chattanooga; nephews, Zach Gore and Preston Dworkin; nieces, Katie Shelly, Aniston Webb, Lydia Webb and Olivia Webb; her beloved cat, Chaplin and a host of friends. Funeral services for Ashley will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. John White officiating.
