Charlene Plemons

Charlene Miller Plemons, 78, of Chattanooga, departed this life Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014. She was born in Sweetwater, Tenn., to the late Charlie Ray and Agnes Presley Miller and was a member of Brainerd Baptist Church in Chattanooga. Charlene graduated from Chattanooga State with her A.S. degree and later retired from North Park Hospital where she was a CPT Coder. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Peggy Jo Miller, William Austin "Moto" Miller, Tommy Miller; sister-in-law, Susie Miller; and husband, James Plemons. Survivors include her son, Robert Dewayne Scudgins, of Chattanooga; siblings, Eddie Miller, of Chattanooga, Sue (Joe) Anderson, of Sweetwater, Rosemary McDonald, of Fort Oglethorpe; sister-in-law, Ann Miller, of Red Bank; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, in the chapel with Rev. John Eldridge officiating. Interment will follow in Tennessee-Georgia Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. today and prior to the service Sunday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by W.L. Wilson & Sons Funeral Home, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.
