John Driver

John Maurice Driver, 61, lifelong resident of East Chattanooga went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2014. He was a veteran of the Vietnam era. Music was his passion and he was an avid guitar player with the trio, Gospel Three. He enjoyed trips to Cherokee, N.C., and was interested in Indian heritage. He was a devoted husband and brother and was a member of Terra Vista Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Roberta Eden Driver; brother, Michael Driver; sister, Marilyn Smith. He is survived by his wife, Suzy Driver, of Chattanooga; stepdaughters, Devan Petty, Lulu Scealf, and Jenny Legacy; brother, Randy Driver; aunts, Delores Eden and Melvia Eden; five stepgrandchildren; nephews, Kenny and Randall Driver; niece, Kimberly Smith; several cousins, great-nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2014, at the Highway 58 Chapel of Turner Funeral Home or you may visit the online guestbook @ www.turnerfamilyfuneralhome.com. Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 27, 2014, at Terra Vista Baptist Church with Minister Jeff Howell officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Military Honors. Arrangements are by Turner Funeral Home Inc., Highway 58 Chapel 622-3171.
