Hettie Watts

Hettie Delores Watts, 82, of Chattanooga, passed away Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014 at her home. She was a member of the Red Hill Community Church and a member of the Eastern Star. She also enjoyed gardening, church, and her beloved family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 15 years, Jack E. Watts, and her parents, Herman and Verdie Lee Keener. Survivors include her children, Brenda (Lloyd) Parker of Hixson, James Larry Dykes of Dunlap, Patricia (Bobby) Shaw of Chattanooga, Henry J. (Tammie) White of Dunlap, Regina (Gary) Stanfield of Chattanooga; sisters, Margaret (Dennis) Elliott of Jasper, Bonnie (Stanley) Locke of Memphis, Ann Carter of Rossville an Iva (Don) Beasley of Daytonp; brother, Marvin (June) Keener of Chattanooga; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Condolences may be sent to www.lane-southcrestchapel.com. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 2, in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with the Rev. Brad Bryant and Rev. Jason Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at the Keener Hill Cemetery, Pikeville, Tenn. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. today in the funeral home. Arrangements by the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home & Crematory located at the end of Historic Missionary Ridge, Rossville.
