Helen Simpson

Helen Alexander Simpson, 91, passed away Friday, Aug. 14, 2015. She was a resident of Rossville for over 50 years. Helen had also lived in Collinsville, Ala., where she was a member of the Church of God in Collinsville for several years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Ester Thomas; husband, John Herschel Alexander; second husband, Harding Simpson; brothers, James Thomas and Ralph Thomas; and sister, Gladys Jackson. Survivors include daughter, Sandra (Eugene) Hysinger, Cleveland; son, Steve (Linda) Alexander, Red Bank; brother, Charles (Reba) Thomas, Rainsville, Ala.; sisters, Jo Ehlers, Quincy, Ill., Frankie Stewart, Collinsville, Ala., Donzella (Charles) Dailey, Sylacauga, AL, Genelle Reasoner, Flint, Mich., and Wanda Dowler, Milton, Fla.; and grandchildren, Joel and Jacob Alexander, LaFayette, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. today, Aug. 16, at the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jason Wright and Rev. Phillip Dietz officiating.
