J.P. Pierce Sr.

James "J.P." Pierce Sr., 82, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, in a local healthcare facility. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran during the Korean War and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He had retired from Ace Hardware in East Ridge. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Pierce. Survivors include son, J. R. Pierce; grandsons, Kyle Pierce and Tyler Pierce. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2015, in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home with Pastor James Sprayberry and Brother Charles Wall officiating. Burial will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery where Military Honors will be observed. The family will receive friends from 3-8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, in the funeral home.
