Mamie Crumble

Mamie Louise Crumble, 87, passed away on July 25, 2015, in Silver Spring, Md. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carris and Bessie Hill; brother, Charles Hill; sister, Rosie Hill Malloy, and husband of 53 years, James Edward Crumble Jr. She was born and raised in Dyersburg, Tenn. She lived most of her adult life in Atlantic City and Pleasantville, N.J., and retired from Spencer Gifts LLC. She lived in Chattanooga for 23 years before moving to Silver Spring, Md. She is survived by her son, James (Rachel) Crumble, of Chattanooga; daughter, Patricia (Martin) Johnson, of Kissemee, Fla.; loving niece, Eve Stewart, of Silver Spring, Md, who cared for her until her death. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Theresa Hill; several grandchildren, nieces and a nephew. The family will hold a private memorial service for James and Mamie Crumble in Atlantic City, N.J. Arrangements have been entrusted to Maryland Cremation Services.
