Marvin Waters

Marvin Ray Waters, 59, died Friday, Aug. 14, 2015. He was born in Marion County, Tenn., on July 28, 1956, son of the late Leonard "Pete" and JoyceJ. Powell Waters. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Charles Waters and Cecil Waters; and a sister, Martha Waters. Survivors include brothers and sisters-in-law, Bruce (Susie)Waters of Dunlap, Tenn., and Randy (Linda)Waters of Gruetli, Tenn.; sisters and brothers-in-law, MildredStevens of Chatsworth, Alma Greene, Peggy Hamilton, Barbara (Wyman)Sullivan, Frankie (Fred) Maxwell, Kay Ross and Janice (Pete)Watts, all of Whitwell, Tenn.; and his canine friend, Payton. Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, at 2 p.m. from Mount Zion Baptist Church, 247 Mount Zion Road, Resaca, GA 30735, with Rev. Calvin Anderson officiating. Interment will follow the service in Brackett Ridge Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, it is asked that contributions be made to the Marvin Ray Waters Memorial Fund, c/o Max Brannon &Sons Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1027, Calhoun, GA30703.
