Mildred Blalock

Mildred Marie Blalock, 90, of East Ridge, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2015. Mrs. Blalock was born in Conasauga, Tenn., and raised in Cleveland, Tenn. She graduated from Bradley High School and was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where she belonged to the LWML. She also completed courses at UTC, providing sitter services to the elderly. She was preceded in death her husband, Eugene David Blalock. Surviving are her daughter, Dona (Chuck A.) Boyd; son, Larry (Susan W.) Blalock; grandchildren, Dana (Bob) Eichler, Todd (Sierra) Boyd, Blake Martin Blalock and Brent Warner Blalock; brothers, George and Ronnie Martin; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 17, 2015, at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 18, at the funeral home with Rev. H. Christopher Sheets officiating. Burial will follow at Lomenick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Alexian Brothers P.A.C.E. program, in honor of the wonderful services that they provided to Mildred.
