Police: Armed robber strikes Chattanooga Waffle Houses

An armed robber struck two Waffle House restaurants in Chattanooga this morning, police say.

The first robbery occurred at 6007 Shallowford Road, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department. The second occurred at 7705 Lee Highway.

Police say the suspect brandished a weapon, demanded money and fled on foot during both robberies. No one was injured.

The suspect is described as a black male around 6 feet tall and medium build. He was wearing a black hoodie, jeans and a covering over his face.
