Runoff forced in Catoosa County State House District race

No candidate managed to reach more than 50 percent of the vote, forcing a runoff in the State House District race in Catoosa County.

Jeff Holcomb led the way with 2,008 votes, but that only left him with 48.3 percent. Dewayne Hill came in second with 1,606 votes. Jeremy Jones came in third with 544 votes.

Holcomb and Hill will compete in a runoff election on July 26.

Elsewhere in Catoosa County politics, Steven Henry defeated incumbent Keith Greene by 52 votes, 2647-2595.
