Chattanooga Zoo will hold its inaugural Zoo Year's Eve on Saturday, Dec. 31, with a roster of global activities that include dancing with dragons in Asia, bidding farewell to worries in Africa and setting new resolutions in North America.

Throughout the day, the resident animals' native locations - which range from Latin American rain forests to the Himalayan mountains to African jungles - will host activities.

During these celebrations, guests will enjoy and learn through animal enrichment, games, crafts and animal encounters.

"Our Zoo Year's Eve event will be a great way for families to celebrate the coming of the new year together and have fun while supporting the Chattanooga Zoo," says Dardenelle Long, Zoo CEO and president.

The Kudzu Cafe Food Truck will be on-site with lunch and snack offerings.

The zoo will be open regular hours on New Year's Eve, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Zoo Year's Eve activities take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The zoo will be closed on New Year's Day.
