-- As the name implies, Artamajig is all about art. More than 50 local artists have contributed original works, which may be bid on in a silent auction. One auction lot will remain a secret until the bidding has concluded. Bidders will know only the value of the item and the business that donated it. The contents won't be known until the end of the bidding.

-- Mediums are wide-ranging. Paintings, photography, jewelry and furniture are among the available works.

-- This year's theme is "Reveal," chosen for its broad and creative interpretation, such as the ideas that art can reveal about both the artist and collector. Previous themes have been "Bound," "Focus," "Reflect," "Break," "Chance," "Fierce" and "Found."

-- Artamajig is also a celebration of the culinary arts. Daniel Lindley, a three-time James Beard Foundation Award nominee and chef at St. John's Restaurant, St. John's Meeting Place and Alleia, is in charge of the menu. It will feature local meats, cheeses and breads provided by Link 41, Sequatchie Cove Farm and Niedlov's Breadworks; desserts from Whipped Cupcakes; and wines from Riverside Wine & Spirits served in a keepsake wine glass.

-- Artamajig is 10 years old. Since its debut in 2003, it has raised more than $120,000 for the Arts & Education Council.
