-Project: General aviation hangar.
-Location: Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport, Jubilee Drive, Wilson Air Center.
-Operator: Wilson Air.
-Cost: $3 million with a state grant paying 95 percent and local monies funding the rest.
-Size: 28,125 square feet.
-Capacity: Seven to 10 larger corporate aircraft.
-Features: Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design standards.
-Builder: Wilson Construction of Athens, Tenn.
-Completion: May.
-History: The new hangar will be the third and largest hangar on the west side of the airport built in the past five years, pushing airport investment in new general aviation terminal and adjacent facilities to about $17 million. That tally doesn't include $12.4 million the airport spent in 2014 to buy out fixed-base operator TAC Air. That deal gave the airport access to 174,000 square feet of hangar space. Last year, the airport tore down an aging, 20,000-square-foot former TAC Air hangar on the east side of the airfield to make way for more parking.
