The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga's Chris DeBien and Justin Lampe have been named to the All-Southern Conference wrestling team, and Dylanger Potter was selected to the all-freshman team. DeBien went through the conference schedule undefeated and should be the No. 1 seed at 133 pounds for Saturday's SoCon tournament in Charleston, S.C. Lampe, 6-1 in league matches at 165 pounds, also could receive a No. 1 seed for the tournament. Potter wrestled at 149 pounds before moving up to 157.

Golf

* UTC senior Wes Gosselin is the SoCon men's golfer of the week for competition Feb. 6-28. Gosselin shared medalist honors with a 6-under-par 210 in pacing the Mocs' third-place team finish in the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate tournament Feb. 20-21.

Basketball

* Georgia Northwestern sophomore Darrius Fugh has earned USCAA Division II All-America honorable mention for the 2016-17 basketball season, and Lady Bobcats sophomore Carrie Benedict is an Academic All-American. Benedict, from Adairsville High School, has maintained a 4.0 grade point average while taking 56 hours of classes in automotive technology. She attends the school's Rome campus but practices and plays home games in Rossville. Pepperell graduate Fugh, the Bobcats' all-time leading scorer and rebounder, broke his own single-season points average of 19.7 per game with 23 per game this season and set a single-game school record with 39 points against Hiwassee. "Darrius just had a phenomenal year, point-wise and rebounding-wise, and he picked up his shot-blocking as well," GNTC coach David Stephenson said in a school release. "He's a real multifunctional player. He can shoot the 3, but he's got cat-like quickness and can take it to the basket. Plus he can defend." Said Fugh: "It's a blessing to get this honor. Really, it's a blessing just to be nominated. I had a lot of fun just playing with my teammates. I never knew how much fun playing ball could be."

Tennis

* Sewanee's Jordan Brewer is the Southern Athletic Association men's tennis player of the week after going 5-0 last weekend. Three of the wins were in doubles with Aubrey Davis, and two of those were against national Top 25 NCAA Division III schools, Mary Washington and Stevens. Brewer's singles victories were straight-sets defeats of players from those two schools.

Softball

* Kelsey Payne from East Hamilton hit a two-run home run in the first game and was 3-for-3 with a triple, a double and two RBIs in the second and Savannah Moore from Soddy-Daisy had an RBI in each as Brenau's softball team won 11-4 and 8-5 Tuesday at Emmanuel.

Baseball

* The second annual Children's Fund Baseball Classic will be held Saturday at AT&T Field with proceeds going to the Catoosa County Children's Fund. That provides Catoosa school children and their families with a variety of short-term basics or emergency needs. In the inaugural Classic last year, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School defeated Southeast Whitfield and Gordon Lee downed Heritage. Saturday, LFO is scheduled against Ridgeland at 11 a.m., Ringgold against Northwest Whitfield at 1:30 p.m. and Heritage against Gordon Lee at 4. The gates will open at 10 a.m., and a silent auction will be held before each game. Tickets cost $5 and can be bought through the Catoosa County Board of Education, the Catoosa sheriff's office or from the LFO, Ringgold or Heritage baseball teams.

Lacrosse

* McCallie School is holding "Lace Up With LAX" this Friday at 7 p.m. in its lacrosse season opener against Baylor School. Both schools are participating - through players, coaches, spectators and the community - in the event providing shoes to homeless children. Fans are asked to bring a new pair of children's shoes to the game; the teams will collect those and take them to a local shelter. Since the program began with one school in 2013, more than 100 high school, college and independent lacrosse programs in the United States, Canada and England have taken part.
