KNOXVILLE - Building a 15-point lead after the first quarter was all the University of Tennessee women's basketball team needed in cruising to a 77-52 victory over Lipscomb on Monday night at Thompson-Boling Arena.

The Lady Vols improved to 6-1 and will now turn their attention to Southeastern Conference play, which will be anything but easy out of the gate. Tennessee is scheduled to travel to No. 9 Texas A&M on Thursday before hosting No. 13 Kentucky on Sunday.
