Named for the apples grown on the isle of Avalon, from the legend of King Arthur, this frozen cider cocktail is ideal for that period of fall when the warm weather still lingers.

Main Street Meats introduced frozen drinks when it started offering alcohol to-go during the pandemic, as they travel well and are easy to freeze and drink later if you order a large quantity. While frozen cocktails are part of the restaurant's efforts to adapt to the pandemic, they've been so popular that they're here to stay, co-owner Amanda Niel says.

Naturally all of Main Street Meats' drinks are intended to pair well with meat, and the Divine Apple is no exception.

"It's a perfect grilling out, early fall cocktail," Niel says.

Featuring spiced Benchmark bourbon and sparkling rose, the drink provides a nice spicy-sweet contrast with everything from seasoned grilled chicken breasts to spicy jumbalaya with andouille sausage, she says.
